    BVSc (Hons)

Elizabeth grew up on a dairy farm in South East Queensland. She graduated from the University of Queensland in 2012 with honours. She spent her first two years in mixed animal practice in Pittsworth South-East Queensland, followed by two years in specialist small animal referral practice.

Elizabeth enjoys all aspects of veterinary science and has a particular interest in small animal surgery. She has completed numerous surgical courses including a Small Animal Fracture Management Course in North America. She joins the ARH team in the surgery and emergency fields.

In her spare time Libby enjoys cycling and reading.

  • Dr Chelsea Shekell, Radiology Intern
    BVSc (Hons) MANZCVS (Radiology)

After graduation from the University of Queensland in 2010, Chelsea completed a one-year rotating small animal internship in a specialist referral hospital. Developing a keen interest in diagnostic imaging, she has used her roles in a busy general practice, and even busier emergency centres, to hone her radiography and sonography skills.

In 2015 she obtained membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in small animal radiology and has since completed several ultrasonography courses. Chelsea likes all aspects of imaging and is working towards her goal of becoming a diagnostic imaging specialist.

In addition to her passion for diagnostic imaging, Chelsea is extensively experienced in the field of emergency and critical care, with her most recent role as director of an after-hours emergency centre.

Chelsea and her husband enjoy living in Brisbane with their two guinea pigs. In her spare time she enjoys exercise and boxing.

  • Dr Belinda Carey, Small Animal Internal Medicine Intern
    BVSc (Hons) BAppSci BEd (Hons)

Belinda recently graduated from the University of Queensland with honours and worked as a locum veterinarian until commencement at ARH.

Belinda has a strong interest in internal medicine and hopes to develop her skills and knowledge during her time at ARH in order to pursue her dreams of specialising in the field. In particular, she is interested in hepatic and neurological disease in the canine and feline patient.

In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and their Labrador Koa, reading, going to the beach, cooking and travelling (especially to Hawaii).

Hanna’s particular interests include gastroenterology, hepatology and clinical pathology, especially in the feline patient.

In her free time Hanna enjoys spending time with her five cockatiels and cat named Fletcher.
